Summary of Experiences |
|
Harry has more than 37 years of experience in occupational safety and health (OSH) in the areas of auditing, training and consultancy. In the past 27 years in Singapore, he has conducted close to a thousand 3rd party audits on “OSH Management System” and “Risk Management and Risk Assessment”. He has conducted classes for thousands of trainees from different levels (including Directors, CEOs, Managers, Executives, Engineers and OSH professionals) from various industrial sectors. He has also involved in the establishment of OSH Management System and/or Risk Management / Risk Assessment for close to hundreds of organizations. Currently, Harry is an external SAC Assessor and Technical Expert for the Management Systems Certification Bodies Scheme. |

Previously, Harry was the General Manager of SC2 Pte Ltd, an OSH subsidiary (also a certification body accredited by Singapore Accreditation Council) of The Singapore Contractors Association Ltd for about 12 years since 1997. |
|
Formerly in Hong Kong, he was a senior OSH Officer / Factory Inspector in the OSH Branch in Hong Kong Government Labor Department. In his ten years’ experience in the Labor Department, he has conducted thousands of safety inspections for workplaces from different industrial sectors. He has investigated hundreds of serious and fatal accidents. His duties also included processing the approval of personal protective equipment, the accreditation of safety auditing courses and the registration of safety officers. |

In 1999 - 2005, Harry was appointed by the Minister of Manpower as a Member of the Advisory Committee for OSH for the Construction Industry. With the set-up of the Workplace Safety and Health Council, he was appointed as a member of the Construction and Landscape Committee in 2008. Moreover, Harry was appointed as a member of the Technical Committee on Safety Management in SPRING Singapore in 2004 - 2008. Harry was also appointed by the Ministry of National Development - Ministry of Manpower Joint Review Committee as a Resource Person for the Construction Safety Review in 2004/2005. |
